the legally-required bit

Terms. We made them readable.

Somewhere, a lawyer read this and quietly wept. Here's the actual deal in plain English, no three-page wall of “heretofores.”

Using this site

Browse it, read it, share it, screenshot the good bits for your group chat, go nuts. The design, code, and words are ours, though, so please don't peel them off and stick your own logo on top. That's literally the one thing we tell clients never to do.

The “Roast my site” tool

It's a toy. A delightful, slightly mean toy. It doesn't actually scan, crawl, or analyse anything, it invents a funny result and a score for entertainment. Do not take it into a board meeting.

Our real audits, on the other hand, are done by actual humans and are actually useful. Those you can take to the board.

Project work

Anything we build for you is covered by a separate proposal and agreement we write up before a single keystroke happens, not by these website terms. Scope, price, and timeline get agreed in writing first, like adults.

No warranty (the “as is” bit)

This site is provided “as is”, legalese for “we tried genuinely hard and it's great, but we can't pinky-promise the entire internet will behave 100% of the time.” If something's broken, tell us. We'll fix it faster than you can finish reading this paragraph.

Links to other places

Sometimes we link out. The moment you leave, you're in the wild and we can't be responsible for what other sites get up to. Watch your step out there. Trust no carousel.

The whole thing, honestly

Be nice to your users. Don't steal our stuff. That's about 90% of it, the paragraphs above are just the same idea in a suit.
